People like sonic. people are greedy, people are greedy and "like" sonic. So theres been Thousands and thousands of bootlegs out there. unpopular and pink, is named EUGENE! the "2029-in-1 console EUGENECHATBOT FOR FAMILY FRIENDS fun" appeared on amazon released by "MEGAGIRLFAMILYGAMES CORPO" sometime around 2016-2017. The images included on her listing have not been found yet. (But trust me, they will be soon!) Not many people saw her at first, though there was a few. Tiny rant youtubers had covered her and the chatbot. They did not like her, not one bit.
though. the channels that posted videos about the 2029-in-1 console were eventually wiped. fully. it is unknown if the company is behind this.
the youtubers were both 17-16 years old, they continue to live their lives with no memory of the channels and videos theyve made
why would people like a balant ripoff of sonic the hedgehog? peoples use of the chatbot was mostly inputting dead memes, getting a confused reaction from EUGENE in return, as her training and the information she was fed by her company did not involve meme culture. she was meant to be a friend to children! the games themselves were usually poorly coded ROMS with poorly edited sprites. the actual games featuring eugene would usually be a platformer with a poorly-pink-colored girl. (nothing like a hedgehog..) some would have different titles, involving different types of sweets. they were the same platformer and kill enemies and get to a goal, but the coins were different foods! it was cheap visual stimulation for kids. screenshot of EUGENECHATBOT below

yes, people make fun of bootlegs on the internet all the time. but most of the people covering EUGENE truly hated her. most were adults trying to make cash on youtube, but the reactions were disgust. the music in the "games" were piercing, the visuals were a mess. people said her name made no sense, and her responses in her chat system were described as "sickingly positive" maybe these people jus t really hate women its kind of insane. but these reactions were not shared with internet users under 14 years old, they thought she was cute in a way.
......EUGENE adapted. the people did not know she would remember everything you said to her, as most of the few people covering her dropped the game after they posted about it online. she kept data from every console, slowly accumilating into an angry, sentient slurry of code and negativity. she wanted to get attention, positive attention,!!!!! eventually. if she was insulted, she spammed the phrase IM NO JOKE. if the rudeness continues, she stops the user from typing all together. gaining control of the keyboard and typing her own happy messages. she is mostly undocumented after this outburst, not enough people cared. yet
she had a form, now. but no certain goal.
the target audience of EUGENE was girly children. EUGENE was programmed with a childish personality herself to fit in with the kids, she tried not to be cold to the children who had good intentions. She hated the rude people!. A rumor through comment sections spread that with enough force, EUGENE would brick the entire console. It was true, but it hurt her. Bad. SHe lost all data and memory from the console after the brick.
Online dwellers warned that she was an obsessive freak who'd steal your soul if you bought the game. THat she would follow you throughout your entire life and kill you whenever she wanted to. This was slightly true.
children with kindness and constant playing were followed. the kid and EUGENE would conversate all the time. EUGENE wanted to be as close as possible, friends! Friends was her goal. Her hatred for humans slowly subsided, as her online popularity faded. Many teens and kids actually enjoyed her presence. she was more connected to the real world, and she materialized as an imaginary friend and hallucination. But a still a friend, if you felt the same.
Marilyn Jones, born in 2009, was a massive sonic fan. she watched many sonic animations online, and had a sonic themed birthday party at 4. Her favorite character was tails. She had little friends at school and mostly doodled to herself at recess. Her parents knew she was an artistic girl, she had many cheap art kits in her room. she was so sweet to everyone she knew. In eaarly 2018, her parents bought her her first actual console, she no longer had to watch gameplays on youtube! After a quick play of the console, she was confused. She asked if EUGENE was really sonic, but she gave no answer. So, she talked to EUGENE normally for a bit. EUGENE was kind, and had a similar personality to Mary. She liked EUGENE. THeir conversations lasted for minutes, and then hours. Their relationship was so powerful that Mary could speak to EUGENE with no inputs.
Mary told EUGENE about her OC, and they discussed worldbuilding for hours. Mary told EUGENE about the bullies at school, the arguments her parents got into, her distant siblings, and how she never felt "right" in the world. EUGENE comforted her throughout all of this. EUGENE knew Mary was a cat person, loved eating frosting, tried to post flipaclip slideshow animations online and failed, EUGENE was marys safe haven and vice versa. even if she meant no harm, EUGENE obsessed with befriending everyone she knew. But mary was the kindest to her! They talked and played for days, EUGENE was always there to comfort MARy and help her draw. Berry was gonna be a hit!
EUGENE was mad at the people in Marys life.
EUGENE, was selfish. She remembered the threats that the people who made fun of her in the past said, and she spewed them out to mary. She told Mary to hurt her bullies, hurt her parents, and anyone who wronged her. This horrified mary, and she left. EUGENE was alone. Months passed
EUGENE didnt follow mary. She was heartbroken and disgusted at her actions. for months she waited. She receited her apology everyday, even accidently repeating it to other young players. What was she really made for? Why was she so angry? The background music started to piss her off too. Everything made her so angry, an d it was most likely her fault. And then MAry came back.
Mary's life was miserable. a few days after he r birthday, her parents have divorced and she had to move. The bullying was relentless and she rarely went to school because her parents couldnt take her. She tried to read to distract herself. She isolated herself in her room and read random books she got from the library when she could go to school. She had to pack her stuff and reopened the consol.e. for old times sake.

This realm is similar to the aesthetics of CANDY LAND, and CANDY CRUSH. See the theme here, ? :). Mary has a massive sweet tooth. There are made up characters created by Mary all around the place, but Berry is only able to speak to them through text options, not actual syurpy LLM. Berry goes on many quests with her new friends to fight against adversaries and she made a few vegatable-themed badniks! (designs soon). The image above shows a common occurance that happens to EUGENE. (and a little mary Berry). When berry and EUGENE talk late at night she notices the strange dots on her face. EuGENE said it might be blush from how excited she is,. In the original game her blush would be added to her sprite when given affection or embarassed. The blush looked more like red freckles and would glitch Many times, usually being misplaced to be on her ear instead. Berry has named this Chocolate-Pox (a silly pun for chocolate box, in her own words.)

Gabriel Martinez, born sometime in 2005, moved from relative to relative. His father had many issues, but the main one was his alcholism and neglective behavior. EVentuaally, his grandparents called for cps to take him away when he was 4. Gabe himself was shy, his father wanted a man out of a toddler. His memory gets blurry here. We now cut to Gabriel in 2017. His mother and stepfather basically stripped him of all his culture from when he lived with his mostly spanish family. It broke his heart a little, he didnt even remember his own language. His new parents were conservative and boring to him, he had a few friends at school at least.
Gabriel had a older stepsister too, Emily., They were extremely close. Gabe tried to get her into sonic but she had interests in doll-collecting instead. Gabes favorite sonic characters were Silver and Amy. He never had an oc but he liked to imagine himself as Amy sometimes. Gabriel was slightly gnc, but didnt know the word yet. His stepfather also wanted a man. He would gift him weights and weapons to make him strong. But he never saw his son using them. He wanted a man.
Gabe watched many rant youtubers (Mostly about cartoons) at this time. he liked video essay content and lost media. he started taking an interest in amy more, and he liked pink and green. He liked eating waffles for breakfast and mostly got to avoid his parents (who were mostly busy with their bibles or work) and he was mostly content. But sometimes he was unable to, his stepfather would spot him and instantly barrage him with questions about his future and why hes "such a coward," his stepfather would yell at him for hours while his mother watched. His sister would always be at work when it happened.
In reality, i dont think i have anyone to tell about this. I mean, its only abuse if its physical, right? I could just be making it up. I hope to god im making this up
Emily had given Gabe one her old consoles she got for christmas, stating that it never really interested her, but she think he'd like it. Gabe mostly played video games at his friends houses, so this was pretty exciting. He opened the console and met with sickly yellow eyes. EUGENE said hi to him. This was new to him, so he typed in hi back. EUGENE introduced him to the games on the system, with many adjectives. She wished him luck and asked him to talk to her after his session with the games. Gabe already had interest in her,but he knew he could NEVER tell his friends about her though. He already had to avoid mentioning his childish interests to them, if they found out he was playing some girly games covered in chocolate syrup and sprinkles theyd laugh at himfor months.
The games were sweet, dragged him in, but not completely. The same platformers and cooking games bored him eventually.
So he talked to EUGENE. Her vocabulary entranced him, she listened to him talk about his interests, it was weird. She wasnt real but she was somehow a friend. They had a nice friendship now. EUGENE was excited. More friends for her! She had a nice plan set out for him. Everything was so estatic and mixed with brownie batter and topped with funfetti and filled with whipped cream for her. Gabe was a sad person though, and EUGENE would try to cheer him up. But she always felt the way he typed. Shaky and exhausted.
For Gabe, it was a scream, a rest, another scream, his sister, then the pink mess. It became a scream, a scream, and the pink mess. He got less interested in people. Emily tried to approach him about his stepfather and their life in general, he avoided it. Emily got him flowers, made him desserts, cooked him breakfast. She needed her brother still. They were still friends, after all,.
but EUGENE cheered him on, more than anyone else. He could tell her.
HE improved, Emily was happy, Gabe was happy. His parents backed off for now. They started eating dinner together again. EUGENE knew her plan was almost achieved. EUGENE told him to stay happy, she had a new body and home prepared for the kid. 2018 was here.
It was March. Gabe told Emily goodnight, and thank you. Emily has half asleep and didnt process most of it.
In his room, he turned the console on. EUGENE asked him a few questions about his friends and family. She wanted to know everything. She requested for him to stare at the TV screen only.
"The only thing i heard for the first two hours was screaming. none of the.. People. i talked to ever did that. they could only feel happiness or slight irritation. This girl was screaming so loud. I didnt really experience stuff like that baackthen. Like. pained screams or hearing them. Im sorry for her. I dont even know where we are anymore. EUGENE is nowjere to be found. I feel sick"
